Random substitution subshifts

Abstract:
As the name suggests, random substitution subshifts are subshifts (i.e. certain
sets of bi-infinite sequences of letters) that are generated by random
substitutions. We will see that one can construct ergodic measures on these
subshifts. It turns out that, in some situations, one of these measures is the
measure of maximal entropy.
