On Uniform Distribution in Model Sets

Abstract:

In 2002, Moody gave a new measure-theoretic proof of the uniform distribution
property in model sets. We will discuss from a recent perspective how Moody’s
uniform distribution result shaped model set analysis via dynamical methods,
with focus on diffraction properties. This is based on joint work with Gerhard
Keller (Erlangen) and Nicolae Strungaru (Edmonton).
