Abstract: In this talk, we introduce a quantum Hamiltonian reduction associated with arbitrary semisimple Lie algebras and their representations. We prove that the zeroth cohomology of the global sections obtained via this reduction is always simple. As an application, we apply the construction to the chiral differential operators on the basic affine space. This is joint work in progress with Tomoyuki Arakawa and Bailin Song.
