p-DG structures and categorification

Abstract: The Jones polynomial is an invariant of links coming from the representation theory of quantum groups. After reviewing its construction, we will discuss the goals of the categorification program and how the notion of a p-DG algebra naturally arises when looking to categorify the WRT 3-manifold invariant.
