Das Projekt hat zum Ziel, aktuelle Forschung der Intensiv-Medizin und Konzepte und Methoden des Wissenschaftlichen Rechnens zu verbinden, um Fortschritte zu erzielen in der Frühererkennung von Sepsis als einer von einer Infektion (durch Bakterien oder Plize) verursachten systemischen Entzündungsreaktion des Organismus und in der Entwicklung neuer Therapie-Ansätze insbesondere in der Dynamik des Entzündungs-prosseses auftretenden Immunsupression.
